green chromis- Chromis viridis

Few fish transform a reef aquarium quite like a shoal of Green Chromis. Their shimmering, iridescent blue-green bodies catch every ripple of light as they dart and school in the upper water column, creating a living, breathing sense of movement that makes any tank feel alive. Hardy, peaceful, and endlessly active, they're one of the best schooling fish available for saltwater setups.

Care Notes:

• Tank size: 30+ gallons; best kept in groups of 5 or more for natural schooling behavior
• Reef-safe: yes — completely safe with corals, invertebrates, and other peaceful fish
• Diet: omnivore — readily accepts flake, pellet, frozen mysis, and brine shrimp
• Prefers moderate to strong flow with open swimming space in the mid-to-upper water column
• Hardy and adaptable; one of the most beginner-friendly saltwater fish available
• Note: larger groups may develop a hierarchy over time; start with odd-numbered groups
